Storm Debris Pickup Update – Program Concludes July 15, 2025
Northern Township’s storm debris clean-up program is nearing completion. Crews have removed vegetative debris from over 80% of township roads since the June 21 storm. The final areas scheduled for cleanup are the roadways along Lake Bemidji and around the golf course area.

Key Points
1. Last Day of Pickup: Tuesday, July 15
After July 15, Township contractors will demobilize, and any remaining debris disposal will be the responsibility of property owners through self-haul or private services.
2. Do Not Place New Debris on Roads Already Cleared
If your street has been serviced, please keep the right-of-way clear.
3. Self-Haul Options Remain Free
Residents able to haul their own debris are encouraged to use the following free drop-off sites:
• Temporary Site (tree debris only): Field behind Target, 2115 23rd St NW, Bemidji – Tue–Sat, 7 a.m.–7 p.m.
• County Demolition Landfill: 2331 N Plantagenet Rd SE, Bemidji – Tue–Fri, 8 a.m.–4:30 p.m.; Sat, 9 a.m.–noon
