Northern Township Announces Road Construction Project on Wild Plum/Beach Lane

Northern Township residents are advised that road construction on Wild Plum/Beach Lane is set to begin immediately. This project will pave the short section of road along Wild Plum Rd. and Beach Ln. that was previously unpaved, connecting Whitetail Rd with Lavinia Rd and the Lavinia Boat Access.

Key Information:

• Construction Start Date: Effective immediately
• Working Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• Base Dirt Work Completion: Expected before November 1st, 2024
• Base Work Deadline: November 15th, 2024
• Paving: To be completed in Spring 2025
• Final Project Completion Deadline: July 3rd, 2025

Road Closures:

Residents should expect intermittent road closures throughout the construction period. Signs will be posted to indicate when the road is fully closed. We appreciate your patience and understanding during these necessary closures.

Impact on Residents:

This project may cause some temporary inconvenience, including noise during working hours and potential traffic delays. Residents that normally use Wild Plum to access the Lavinia Rd area, please use alternates routes, such as Bass Lake Rd NE, during any road closures.

Note, there will not be any impact to the Bemidji Blue Ox marathon’s route which passes by the end of this project area.
